Creation is winding down. Harvest has its bags packed and is ready to move in. After seven months of making, building, planting, painting and imagining, I can feel the season changing—not only on the Ridge, but in myself. The work isn't ending. It's simply changing.

After gardening in Zones 5b, 9b, and now 7b in Southern Appalachia, I find myself once again learning a new landscape—and noticing how much possibility lives where one condition becomes another.
