When a Dream Finds its Place

There are moments in the life of a dream when it quietly crosses from imagination into reality.

Today is one of those moments.

For a long time, I believed the final piece of this dream would be finding the land that was meant to hold it.

Nine months ago, that happened.

I thought I had reached the culmination of a decades-long journey. Instead, I discovered it was only the continuation.

For decades, I have been refining this vision—asking difficult questions, gathering experiences, learning from remarkable teachers, facilitating circles, attending retreats, and slowly collecting the threads of something I couldn't yet fully see. Every season of my life seemed to offer another piece that would someday belong here.

Then I found this ridge.

The land didn't complete the dream.

It became the loom upon which everything could finally be woven together. Only then could I begin weaving something worthy of the women I hoped would one day gather here.

These last nine months have been some of the fullest of my life. I've walked this forest in every kind of weather, listened more than I've spoken, observed the rhythms of the land, and allowed this place to become one of my greatest teachers. Every decision—from the retreat philosophy to the guest rooms, from the gardens to the gathering table—has been shaped with intention.

Looking back, I realize the real work didn't begin when I found the property.

It began when the land and the vision finally met.

Today isn't simply the opening of applications for a retreat.

It's the first time I have the privilege of sharing a life's work in the place that was always waiting to hold it.

None of this has been accomplished alone.

To Scott, thank you for believing in this vision as deeply as I have, for your endless encouragement, your steady partnership, and for standing beside me through every long day, every new idea, and every uncertain moment. There is no one I would rather have walking this journey with me.

To the friends who have so generously offered your time, honest feedback, wisdom, and willingness to help shape these first retreats, thank you for helping me create something stronger than I could have built on my own.

And to my family, thank you for always believing that if I set my heart and mind on something, I would find a way to make it real. Your confidence has carried me more times than you know.

I've had the privilege of attending women's retreats, sitting in sacred circles, and facilitating transformational experiences over many years. Again and again, I've witnessed what happens when women are given permission to slow down, to be deeply seen, and to reconnect with themselves. I've experienced that return firsthand, and I know the quiet power of stepping away long enough to hear your own voice again.

That knowing is what inspires all of the retreats I will offer here, but The Sanctuary Within holds a very special place.

And today, with a grateful heart, I can finally say...

Applications are now open.
